Book Summary
A 12 year old girl named Gerta finds that her family is separated over night as the Berlin wall rises. She has to be a good, model citizen if she doesn't want to get arrested, but she has to find a way to see the rest of her family again. If she tries to escape to the other side of the berlin wall, the consequences would be painful or even deadly. She must find courage and strength if she ever wants to see her family or freedom ever again.
