Strength In Stories recommendation by
I read books because I like learning new things in a format at my pace and choosing. When I read a book, I can choose what I learn about.
Book Summary
Abandon Ship takes you on a journey of teh survivors of the shipwrecked Laconia during World War II. You learn about many different characters and how the stress of being stuck in a life boat for a month with little-to-no water affects people's thinking. You also learn about the thought going throught the heads of the military commanders from both the Axis and Allied side of the war while they tried to mount peaceful rescue operations.
Favorite Part or Fun Fact
My favorite part thing about this book is the epilogue. I thought it was super cool to learn about how each survivor was changed by their experiences. Each survivor took a different path, some of which aligned with how they behaved in the life rafts.
