At first, I read books for school. After finding books I actually enjoyed, I started to read for fun.
Book Summary
This book is a letter from Marceline to her dad. During WWII Marceline and her dad were sent to an internment camp. They were separated by only 3 meters in this camp, and that distance was unsufferable. One day Marceline's dad wrote her a note saying, "I will not come back," to prepare her for the worst. This was Marceline's last memory of her father, and when she was released, she wrote this novel as a response to the letter.
Favorite Part or Fun Fact
My favorite part of this book is when I got to read about all the wonderful things marceline accomplished after her release. Despite all she went through, Marceline went on to live a very successful life.
