Book Summary

Follow the battle of Okinawa through the eyes of Hideki, a Japanese soldier given a grenade to kill an American and one for himself, and Ray a fresh US marine tasked with taking the island of Okinawa. Both of these young men are exposed to the monster of war as they fight to survive one of the most brutal battles of the second world war in the last battle of the Pacific theater.
