Strength In Stories recommendation by

Sometimes I read because it's fun and I can go too faraway places and meet different kinds of people and sometimes weird creatures. Other times it’s just nice to read about someone who feels the same way I do like when I’m sad or mad or lonely or scared or anxiety or don’t know what to do. Everyone should read books not just for school but for fun and feelings and finding out who you are. Reading makes you feel good and can get you out of a bad mood.

Book Summary

The book is about this girl Gabby and she’s kinda like a superhero but not the kind that flies or shoots lasers. Her powers are more about being brave, strong and kind. At first she thinks it’s kinda lame but then she goes through some big changes and really hard and sad things. She has to move far away, start a new school and deal with major drama from a mean girl at her new school. Plus she has a ton of feelings and pressures like crushing on this cute boy and winning at soccer and missing the people she loves.

Favorite Part or Fun Fact

This book was so good I read it in 2 days. The thing I liked the most is that I could be friends with all the characters IRL. Maya reminded me the most of myself, we are a lot alike. I love books that make me laugh, cry and remind me that I am enough and this book did all those things. I want to be friends with everyone is the story.
