Book Summary
A young girl named Annemarie lives in Copenhagen with a pretty ordinary life except for the constant presence of Nazi soldiers. Nazi's begin to relocate the Jews living in Copenhagen but Annemarie and her family protect Annemarie's best friend, Ellen, who is Jewish. Annemarie has to do a lot of very brave things to save her friend from being taken away.
